So first off, let me start by apologizing.

We sort of neglecting things for a while. Me and the other dev's sort of went off on our own adventures for a while. Winamp went through a few upgrades, which has left akdj broken with winamp since 5.24. Sporadically it would work for some of you, and others it would not (like me harping on folks to look for the ML folder) After a good amount of testing with Zug the other night, we found a multitude of bugs and incompatibilities that are going to start being addressed.

There has been an issue with seemingly random crashes during song changes for a while. It's caused when akdj writes out a users history file, so this pre-release contains an option for disabling histories. I'm running it now, so I can't comment till after this week if it works or not, but all signs point to yes.

The other thing that broke was the way akdj gave the file listing to version 2.0 the FE. It would cause the FE and Winamp to both crash into oblivion. I think this has been addressed as well.

Watch this space soon as we're going to finally release version 3.0 of the FE. I created a preview video of it a while back, and it's light years beyond what anyone has out there now.

Go ahead and download the latest pre-release of akdj. Put it through a firey hoop. Turn off singer histories and let us know in the forums if this works for you.
