autOKfe, Customer self service ticket entry.
autOKfe is a standalone networked application that, when networked with a hosting machine running autOKdj, lets the customer enqueue songs in from a simple terminal.
There are currently 2 versions avaialable for download, with a third under development. Some of the common features of the first two iterations:
* Low hardware requirements, our target machine is a Pentium 133 with 128mb Ram running on Windows 2000
* Networking via standard TCP/IP / Windows Networking protocols, no "funny" software needed
* Supports bar coded tickets, allowing the KJ or venue to either pay for play, or meter the number of entries customers can put in by giving each ticket it's own unique bar code that can only be used once.
The current 2nd generation (and currently stable release) of the autOKfe application continues with the notion of minimal hardware requirements (written in pure c++), has no M$ library dependencies, and adds some much needed color and life to the original. There's a readme file with documentation and features list (new features like on screen playlist, enhanced user interface / search, etc), and its highly recommended you download THIS version
Still available, though no longer updated or supported is the original version of the front end application. You can download the original version here to see where things all started. Be sure to download the .ini file and support libraries if its your first time downloading the original version.
