|
|
Greetings gentlemen, After playing with the latest release, and upgrading to the latest winamp, I have noticed a problem with the kcombo page.
There are cases during my shows, that I'll either throw in a music track to kill time, or if I'm annoucing a birthday, I'll add 50 Cent to the playlist -- the title gets listed as
Karaoke Performer -!$- - ---AUTOKDJ-SONG-ENTRY
Also, when using the standby Que, the estimated time does not display, This becomes a problem when in certain times, that person gets bumped up - It throws off the rest of the times

Is all of this really new to the latest Winamp?
If so, what did the old Winamp do in these cases?

Answered my own question. Pre-existing bug, but bug nonetheless.
Try the latest RC2 pre-release

That's an old bug Chuck, but a good one.
Fixed in the latest pre-release, give it a whirl...

sorry its me again! the latest pre release I grabbed didnt really change much -- if a filler is in the list, it doesnt display when it will play, but the rest of the times are correct - but the last song in this screenshot is a standby but does not list the time
I moved the standby up into the middle of the list, and the rest of the times are acurate, but it doesnt tell you when the standby would play |

Times computed are all accurate now. 4:03 - 2:14 + 2.54 = 5 + change , rounded up to 6 minutes, which is Kristen's estimate.
Before it would have said 3 minutes.
That's the fix dude!
If you really want people to know how much time is left before the filler starts playing, I guess I could make that change... I just figured no one would care about that...

That's fine, I really dont need to know when the filler is going to play, but if you look at the ETA's in the playlist view, it just lists the times for everything, I thought all that would just carry over to the kcombo page regardless
If George gets slid up to Zugzug's #4 position, It'll calc the rest of the times correctly around it -- but never shows when George is singing, Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong |

Yeah, consistency is a good thing I guess... OK I reverted that part.

Yep, I see it.
Try the latest pre-release. You should not only find his song is computed correctly now, you should find that George will no longer be on STANDBY after you do this.
And before you ask, I am PURPOSELY NOT doing the reverse, in that Zug will not then be "auto put" ON Standby.
Zug was assured he would sing, so the software is not going to take that away from him. As the KJ who is moving STANDBY songs before properly enqueued songs, you'll just have to tell Zug this yourself, or tell your boss that you gotta keep the bar open for a while longer cuz you were fuckin' around.
