Hi. this is a fairly specific feature request/suggestion.
ive done some css edits to make the default rotation.html horizontal, all float left. then i hacked up some javascript in an external html on a different server to load it up inside a wide short DIV and give it MARQUEE. then i full screen the browser, and just set the CDG window on top of it on the display screen. what i end up with is basically a scroll of the rotation at the bottom of the page, without the hassle of overlay. heres most of the CSS (the marquee javascript and the external html are just fugly, i dont feel right releasing):
| Code: | tr.heading {
background : #0F0;float:left;padding:0px;color:green;font-size:4px;
font-weight : normal;
}
tr.rowclass1 {
background : #666;float:left;padding:2px; font-weight:bold;
font-size : 36px;
}
tr.rowclass2 {
background : #222;float:left;padding:2px; font-weight:bold;
font-size : 36px;
}
tr.rowclass3 {
background : #F00;float:left;padding:0px; font-weight:bold;
font-size : 40px;
color: #FF0;
} |
heres my request: can we PLEASE have a ActiveRotation.html, that lists only the names of the people who currently have one or more songs queued? it would basically be the exact same page with an extra conditional check before every output in the dll. in a perfect world, it would look thus:
| Code: |
<div class="Singer" id="singer(int x)">(int x). NAME OF FIRST PERSON IN ROTATION WITH A SONG IN QUEUE</div>
|
rinse and repeat as you step down/up/through the rotation.
it would make my LIFE if it was all wrapped in another <div id="marquee"> that would javascript marquee, so that i and other users could move it around, change dimensions/color, and otherwise edit it's CSS
Thanks again guys, wonderful software, great efforts, im glad you never burnt out on karaoke! |

sorry for the self bump, but here is a pic of what i HAVE, not what it SHOULD look like.
idealy, like i said, only singers with an active song in the playlist should be displayed, and it should scroll left, so that the singers name can be larger and more legible.
basically, im trying to recreate the look of Compuhost, without having to resort to USING that otherwise bloated and resource hungry software.
I really hope someone sees this, it seems like it would be trivial (just some new html!) to do given the ml_www source. thats not available is it?

This can be closed. i did exzactly what i was looking for with the supplied XML. i had no IDEA there were XML files being created at all, then i found them, realized what they were, and now i wonder why there are even DLL created html files at all
Anyhow, this thread can be locked and deleted, my solution is over in tips and tricks. |
